As the word says painting is the process of applying paint, figment or colour and other medium to a solid surface. Different types of colours [ oil paint, water colour, crayons etc] and different types of brushes, techniques and methods are used to make an art a great piece of work.
Painting can be classified into two sub categories, they are:
a) Traditional Painting
This is the fundamental method where paintings are performed by using the basic piece of paper or different paper surfaces, different types of brushes and colours in traditional way. Traditional painting is the method exist since the art was born to till today.
b) Digital Painting
Digital Painting means creating a piece of art using computers, digital sketchpads and different softwares. You can get exact output same as the traditional way of painting by using the modern method of computers and softwares. As the digital technology and innovation taken place the art or painting also influenced by it. Today digitalized process replaced the basic materials of art that is colours and brushes. Drawing is the foundation for any art and it is one of the fundamental process of expression of art. It refers to making line and areas of tone on paper or any surface with accurate representation and precision using pencil or any other drawing materials.
